Gangaram Ragi, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Advanced Laser and Skin Cancer Center. He is the Director of Laser and Mohs Surgery, having performed over 20,000 Mohs surgeries while successfully treating over 50,000 patients. Dr. Ragi provides complete skin care to teenagers and adults at their location in Teaneck, New Jersey.
Dr. Ragi is one of the world's most knowledgeable practitioners of Mohs Surgery, having taught hundreds of dermatology residents/medical students and trained several Mohs surgeons. He completed research with Dr. Frederic Mohs and has published several scientific articles as well as textbook chapters. Dr. Ragi was a lecturer at several local and national dermatology conferences.
Dr. Ragi is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon. He trained directly under Dr. Frederic Mohs, the inventor of Mohs Surgery, and Drs. Stephen Snow and Paul Larson of the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Ragi is also a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and is board-certified by the American College of Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.
Before his Mohs Surgery fellowship, Dr. Ragi completed a Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York. He completed his dermatology residency at SUNY Buffalo.
Dr. Ragi served as the Chief of Mohs Surgery and Assistant Clinical Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. Additionally, he was the Chief of Dermatology at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey, and served as President of the Dermatology Society of New Jersey.
Currently, Dr. Ragi is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society of Laser Surgery and Medicine.
Dr. Ragi specializes in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, cutaneous oncology, dermatologic and laser surgery, and Mohs surgery.
